Mumbai: The trade union leaders at the Public Sector General Insurance Companies (PSGICs) have raised a demand for an immediate intervention against the unilateral approach on KPI/structural changes in the PSGI companies.
Interestingly, it is happening in spite of assurance given by GIPSA management in its recently held meeting with trade union leaders on August 27, that the implementation/introduction of KPI/restructuring would be shared with all the checked off unions/association and necessary feedback would be sought before its implementation.
Surprisingly, no detailed report of the consultant on these issues has been shared with the Unions by the GIPSA management till date.
Talking to Bizz Buzz, Trilok Singh, general secretary, General Insurance Employees' All India association (GIEIA), said: "It is really unfortunate that in spite of assurances given by all unions/associations for extending their constructive support on this account after a meaningful dialogue, the GIPSA management has started implementing structural changes in a haste and whimsical manner unilaterally which may lead to serious repercussion in regard to the health of PSGI companies and may lead to IR issues also."
We, he said, General Insurance Employees' All India Association, oppose this decision of implementation of structural changes unilaterally and would request you to kindly issue necessary instructions to the Managements of all the Public Sector General Insurance Companies to stop such unilateral implementation until and unless it is thoroughly discussed at length at appropriate level with all unions.
